
Walking
There are a number of circular and coastal walks in Somerset, leading through many picture post card villages. Take a short six minute walk along the river bank to one of our local pubs; the Bason Bridge Inn.
Walks along the Quantock Hills offer fantastic veiws across the Severn Estuary. Walks from Lilstock to Kilve of about 3 miles ends with a cream tea renowned for it idylic setting and outstanding tea's.
Walks along the nature reserves of Shapwick Heath offer a chance to get close to nature.
Brent Knowle is a short hill climb to the summit, where a roman fort once stood, views across the Somerset Levels and Severn Estuary are worth the climb
Cheddar Caves walk is a circular walk skirting the famous, Cheddar Gorge, ending at Jacob's Ladder before the assent, down in to Cheddar Valley and village. Views include the Gorge and Brent Knowle. This is a challenging 2 hour walk with outstanding views.
